How Acne Treatment Works at Victoria Edward Spa
Every acne plan starts with a skin consultation. We look at the type of acne you have — whiteheads, blackheads, inflammatory breakouts, hormonal flare-ups, or leftover scarring — and how your skin has responded to products in the past. From there we build a treatment series, usually combining a peel or HydraFacial for active congestion with microneedling once your skin is calm, and we recommend simple home care that supports your results between visits.
Because we are a medical spa, our providers can work with stronger clinical-grade treatments than a typical salon facial — while keeping every step safe and comfortable for your skin.
Acne Treatment FAQs
What is the best acne treatment at a med spa?
There is no single best treatment for every skin type. Active breakouts often respond well to acne-focused chemical peels and HydraFacial, while acne scarring is usually treated with microneedling or PRP microneedling. At your consultation we examine your skin and build a plan around your specific type of acne.
How much does acne treatment cost in Longwood, FL?
At Victoria Edward Spa, an acne chemical peel is $130, HydraFacial is $199, and microneedling is $250 per session. Custom clinical facials and PRP microneedling are priced at your consultation, and package pricing is available for treatment series.
Can you treat acne scars?
Yes. Microneedling and PRP microneedling stimulate collagen to soften the appearance of acne scars over a series of sessions, and chemical peels can improve texture and post-acne discoloration. Results build gradually with each treatment.
How many acne treatments will I need?
Most clients see the best results from a series of three to six sessions spaced a few weeks apart, though mild congestion can improve after a single HydraFacial. We map out a realistic schedule at your first visit.
Do you treat teen acne?
Yes, teens are welcome. Treatments are adjusted for younger skin, and clients under 18 need parental consent with a parent or guardian present at the spa.
Individual results may vary. The treatments described on this page are not suitable for everyone; a consultation with a Victoria Edward Spa provider determines whether you are a candidate. This information is educational and does not replace medical advice.
Which acne treatment for which kind of acne
Acne is not one condition, and the four treatments here do different jobs. This is how we match them.
Congestion, blackheads and an oily T-zone. HydraFacial, $199. It cleanses, extracts and hydrates in one pass, which is what clogged pores need. Good first appointment if you are not sure where to start.
Active, inflamed breakouts. Acne Chemical Peel, $130. Clinical-strength, aimed at clearing congestion and calming what is currently active rather than resurfacing.
Post-acne marks, scarring and texture. Microneedling, $250. This is the one for what acne leaves behind rather than acne itself, and it is a different timeline, measured in months.
Reactive or sensitive skin. A customized clinical facial. If peels have stung or left you red for days, say so at the consultation and the approach changes.
Adult acne is not teenage acne
If you had clear skin at twenty and are breaking out at thirty-five, the pattern is usually different. Adult breakouts tend to sit along the jawline, chin and neck rather than the forehead and nose. They are often deeper and slower to come up, and they leave darker marks behind because adult skin turns over more slowly.
Central Florida adds its own problem. Humidity means heavier sweat and more occlusion, and daily sunscreen is not optional here, which means the wrong sunscreen becomes a year-round pore problem rather than a summer one. That gets covered at the consultation, because changing one product sometimes does more than a treatment.
What a course actually looks like
One appointment is not a cure, and anyone promising that is selling something. Skin turns over on roughly a four-week cycle, so treatments are generally spaced about a month apart and judged over three to four months rather than visit to visit.
Expect the first visit to be diagnostic as much as therapeutic. Results vary by individual, by skin type and by how consistent the routine at home is.
What you do between visits matters more
Two things undo clinical work faster than anything else. Picking, which turns a breakout that would have faded into a mark that lasts months. And sun, because peels and microneedling both leave skin temporarily more sun-sensitive, and unprotected sun on healing skin is how post-acne marks darken instead of fading.
Daily SPF is the single highest-return habit for anyone treating acne here, and it matters more in Florida than almost anywhere. You will leave with a specific routine rather than a product list.
Booking and cost
Acne Chemical Peel $130, HydraFacial $199, Microneedling $250, and customized clinical facials from $85. Every price is on the full price menu.
If you are committing to a course rather than one appointment, the Revive membership is worth the arithmetic: it banks $199 a month toward anything on the menu and takes 15% off peels and microneedling.
