The short answer

What is SoftWave therapy?

SoftWave is a non-invasive treatment that sends broad, gentle acoustic pressure waves through ultrasound gel into muscles, tendons and connective tissue. It is FDA-cleared for relief of minor muscle aches and pains, a temporary increase in local blood circulation, and activation of connective tissue. A session takes about 10 to 15 minutes, needs no needles, medication or anesthesia, and you can return to your day right after. At Victoria Edward Spa in Longwood, FL, SoftWave launches at an introductory price of $79 per session.

Our newest launch

Why we brought SoftWave to Victoria Edward Spa

Our clients asked for a way to feel better in their bodies, not just look their best. SoftWave answers that. It is the same technology used by sports teams and pain and orthopedic practices across the country, and now it is available in a luxury setting right here in Longwood, a short drive from Winter Springs, Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary, Sanford and Casselberry.

01

Drug-free & needle-free

No injections, no medication, no anesthesia. Just focused attention on the area that hurts.

02

Minutes, not hours

Most sessions take about 10 to 15 minutes. Fit one in at lunch and walk out ready for the rest of your day.

03

Zero downtime

Go back to work, the gym or your evening plans the same day. Mild redness or tenderness, if any, usually fades within hours.

The technology

How does SoftWave work?

Inside the handheld applicator, a controlled spark in water creates an acoustic pressure wave. A patented reflector spreads that wave into a broad, even field instead of one sharp point, so it reaches both shallow and deeper tissue across a wider area.

Those pulses are designed to increase local blood circulation and activate connective tissue, supporting your body's own natural recovery response. Unlike radial "pressure wave" guns, SoftWave is an electrohydraulic, broad-field system.

What a session feels like

  • A quick check-in about where it hurts and your health history
  • Ultrasound gel is applied over the area
  • The applicator glides over the tissue with a rhythmic tapping or pulsing feeling
  • Intensity is adjusted in real time to your comfort
  • About 10 to 15 minutes later, you are done

SoftWave FAQs

Your questions, answered

Is SoftWave FDA approved?

SoftWave is FDA-cleared (not "approved," which is a different FDA pathway). It is cleared for relief of minor muscle aches and pains, a temporary increase in local blood circulation, and activation of connective tissue.

Does SoftWave hurt?

Most clients describe it as a rhythmic tapping. Tender spots can feel more sensitive for a moment, and your provider adjusts the intensity to keep you comfortable. No anesthesia is needed.

How many SoftWave sessions will I need?

Most plans are about 3 to 6 sessions, spaced roughly one week apart. Your provider will recommend a plan at your first visit.

How long does a SoftWave session take?

About 10 to 15 minutes of treatment time.

When will I feel results?

Some clients notice a difference after their first few sessions, and improvement can continue to build over the following weeks. Results vary by person.

Is there any downtime?

No. You can return to normal activities the same day. Temporary redness, tenderness or mild swelling may occur and usually settles within hours.

How much does SoftWave cost in Longwood, FL?

At Victoria Edward Spa, SoftWave launches at an introductory price of $79 per session. Klarna and Afterpay are available at checkout.

Is SoftWave covered by insurance?

SoftWave is generally self-pay. Some clients use HSA or FSA funds; check with your plan administrator.

What is the difference between SoftWave and regular shockwave therapy?

SoftWave uses an electrohydraulic system with a reflector that spreads the wave into a broad field. Many other devices are radial (pneumatic) pressure-wave guns that act mostly near the surface, or focused devices that target a single point.

Is SoftWave the same as Sofwave?

No. Sofwave is a cosmetic ultrasound device for skin tightening. SoftWave is an acoustic wave therapy for muscle and joint aches. They are completely different treatments.

Can SoftWave be combined with massage?

Yes. Many clients pair SoftWave with a therapeutic massage for a full reset. Ask us about booking them together.

Who should not get SoftWave?

Anyone who is pregnant, has a pacemaker or electronic implant near the area, has cancer in the treatment area, or has a bleeding disorder or takes blood thinners should talk with us first. We review your health history before every first treatment.
